Appointments

Your scheduled appointment time has been reserved specifically for you. We request a two-business-day notice if you need to cancel your appointment. We are aware that unforeseen events sometimes require missing an appointment, and appreciate your cooperation.

Insurance

To allow Dr. Erika and Dr. Melisa to make unbiased decisions that are based solely on the best interests of our patients, we do not participate directly in any dental insurance provider networks. This means you can choose the dental provider who best meets the needs of your child. Marquette Pediatric Dentistry will file your child’s insurance claim on your behalf. Your insurance company will send you a reimbursement check for procedures covered under your dental plan, typically within 7 to 10 business days.

The term "out-of-network" is often used by insurance companies when referring to health care providers who are not under contract with them. It's important to know your insurance company does not prohibit you from seeing an out-of-network provider. However, the insurance claims process and reimbursement rates may be different. We will file a claim electronically on your behalf and will direct the insurance company to send reimbursement to you, the subscriber. We will collect a fee for service at the time of your office visit. Many insurance policies will reimburse 100% of your fees, but reimbursement will depend on your specific policy.

Insurance policies and claims processing can often be confusing. Please contact our office if you have any questions. Bring your policy manual with you to your child’s appointment and we will be  happy to work with you to help resolve any questions and alleviate any concerns you may have.
